Triple W Mini Farm is located in Franklinton, LA and started back in 2004 when my son Corey was at the LSU State Jr. Livestock Show. While he was chasing his market hog up and down the aisles to try and get him back to his pen, a young girl walked by with her market goat just as calm as could be. Corey came to a complete stop, turned, looked at me, and said that is what I want to show next year. He said he was tired of chasing hogs. We contacted a local breeder, which was the Givens', and visited their farm. My son purchased his first two Boer Does from this breeder. By the end of that show season we had five goats.
Today, our small farm consists of "Lil' Rebel" (straws) and "JAX" our herdsires, and numerous other goats including Full Blood Does, Percentage Does, Nubian Does, and Commercial Does. When my son first started showing goats it was suppose to be for 4-H and FFA only. He enjoyed it so much that he now shows in a few ABGA, IBGA, and LMGA shows. We have learned by trial and error and from a few wonderful families which are the Givens' from Stoney Point, LA, the Varnado's and Stilley's from Independence, LA, the CoCo's from Robert, LA, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ryals from Tylertown, MS. A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU GOES OUT TO THESE FAMILIES.
Our Boer bloodlines include Bodacious Hoot, Powell/Holman Rascal, Top Gun No. 2, Gatwood Farms Hoss, RRD N 268, Magnum's Desperado Ward, NKL 154, Eggs Napal, and many other nice goats.
Our Nubian bloodlines include CH Full-Circle Saints Nutmeg, Wildwood SN Tornado, CH Cream-of-Kansas' Brass Buckle, CH Cream-of-Kansas' SS Junebug, GCH Oakledge Tansys Beau Monde, CH Cream-of-Kansas' O Rosita, CH Cream-of-Kansas' Jumpin Jaxs, and many others.
